About the Volume Converter
Volume measurements are essential in cooking, science, engineering, and everyday life. Our volume converter supports metric units (millilitres, litres, cubic centimetres, cubic metres), US customary units (gallons, quarts, pints, cups, fluid ounces, tablespoons, teaspoons), UK imperial gallons, and cubic inches/feet — 14 units in total.
How it works
Every volume unit is defined relative to the litre. Your input is first converted to litres, then every other unit is derived from that base. Note that US and UK gallons differ: a US gallon is 3.785411784 litres while a UK (imperial) gallon is 4.54609 litres. All calculations run entirely in your browser.
Common conversions
One US cup equals approximately 236.588 ml. One US fluid ounce is about 29.574 ml. One litre equals 1,000 cubic centimetres. Whether you are scaling a recipe, measuring chemicals, or comparing fuel tank sizes, this converter gives you instant results across all 14 units.
