How conversions work here

Rates are stored relative to the US dollar (USD) as base, using reasonable illustrative values in the spirit of ~2024 markets (not live feeds). We first express your amount in USD, then convert to your target currency. That keeps the math consistent across all pairs — whether you are converting EUR to JPY or INR to CAD.

Forward rate vs reverse rate

The forward rate answers: “How many units of the ‘To’ currency do I get for one unit of the ‘From’ currency?” The reverse rate is the mirror: “How many units of ‘From’ equal one unit of ‘To’?” Together they form a simple exchange rate calculator view that matches how many people reason about FX.

Privacy & limitations

All arithmetic runs in your browser — nothing you type is sent to a server for conversion. Banks, cards, and airport kiosks apply spreads, fees, and timing differences; always confirm before you trade.
