How to use this GPA calculator
This GPA calculator lets you add as many courses as you need, assign letter grades and credit hours, and instantly see your cumulative GPA on the standard 4.0 scale. It supports three grading systems: US letter grades, UK classification, and the Indian 10-point CGPA system (mapped to 4.0).
How GPA is calculated
Each grade is assigned a numeric value (e.g., A = 4.0, B+ = 3.3). Multiply each grade's value by its credit hours to get quality points. Sum all quality points and divide by total credit hours to get your GPA. The formula is: GPA = Σ(grade × credits) ÷ Σ(credits).
Supported grading scales
US: A (4.0), A− (3.7), B+ (3.3), B (3.0), B− (2.7), C+ (2.3), C (2.0), C− (1.7), D+ (1.3), D (1.0), F (0.0). UK: First (4.0), 2:1 (3.3), 2:2 (2.5), Third (1.5), Fail (0.0). India: O through F mapped proportionally to 4.0.
