Why preview your SERP snippet?
Your title tag and meta description are the first things users see in search results. A truncated title or a cut-off description can reduce your click-through rate significantly. Google typically displays about 600 pixels (roughly 60 characters) for titles and around 160 characters for descriptions on desktop. Mobile results may show slightly different lengths.
Title tag best practices
Place your primary keyword near the beginning of the title. Keep it under 60 characters to avoid truncation. Use a pipe (|) or dash (β) to separate your brand name. Make each page's title unique and descriptive. Google may rewrite your title if it doesn't match the page content, so ensure consistency.
Meta description tips
Write a compelling call-to-action within 160 characters. Include your target keyword naturally β Google bolds matching terms. Avoid duplicate descriptions across pages. While meta descriptions don't directly affect rankings, a higher CTR from a well-written snippet sends positive signals. This tool runs entirely in your browser.
